Admission
Policy
Pre Foundation and Foundation 1
Children of all nationalities who are two or older on the
1st September are accepted. Activities are conducted in
English, but the staff may use mother tongue with the
youngest children.
Children are accepted throughout the year on a first come,
first served basis. Once a class is full, children are put
on a waiting list.
Key Stages 1 and 2
Pupils are accepted from reception (aged 4 or older on the
1st of September) to year six (age 10). Generally, only
fluent English speakers are accepted, however a few pupils
with limited English are admitted if places permit. A
Learning Support Coordinator facilitates the integration of
these pupils into all school activities by providing support
both in the classroom and through individual help.
Pupils are admitted into year groups according to their age
on the 1st September.
Admission Procedure:
Pupils will be admitted if they are the correct age and will
benefit from an English medium education. Their educational
needs must be able to be met in a main stream class without
significant extra support. All pupils will be assessed
before admission to ensure that the school can meet their
educational needs.
A copy of your child’s passport or birth certificate &
previous school records should be submitted to school.
Children holding Egyptian passports must provide a letter of
exemption from the Minister of Education

If any
of these forms are not included with the prospectus
contact the school office for replacement copies.
A place can only be guaranteed upon the payment of the
Registration Fee raised following the admission
procedure.

Affairs as the ‘Maadi Egyptian British Cultural Society’
