Tombola Donations

required for the Christmas Fair

to be held on

Friday 30th November 2007

The PTA would be grateful for donations to the PTA Tombola Stall. This is a “lucky dip” stall. People buy a ticket and may win a prize.

Items that would be welcome include:

Food items not easily available in Egypt

Bottles of wine and spirits

Cosmetics and beauty products

Toys and Games

Etc etc

This is NOT a second hand stall.

Items must be new and unused.

The PTA will collect donations at school

School News

MBIS has an active parent teacher Association (PTA). Its mission is to provide opportunities for all parents, teachers, staff, governors and other friends of the school to liaise on an informal and social level. The PTA also raises funds to provide equipment and facilities which will enhance the surroundings and opportunities available to the children.

The main PTA fundraising event in any year is the Auction of promises. The money raised from this event goes towards enhancing the MBIS school environment and each year a percentage is given to a local charity. This charity is chosen by the incumbent PTA. In the 2005/05 school year, the chosen charity was SpringBoard-Educating the Future. The money was used to fund the construction of the EL Sheikh Mangoud Girl-friendly School in Fayoum. The school was officially opened in November 2005.
